Representative Perry Thurston presented 4 scholarship recipients with their Florida Conference of Black State Legislators (FCBSL) Scholarship award checks in a small private ceremony at the African American Research Library, Friday, January 2nd.   The students, Samantha Sinclair, Shanteria Carr, Daphny Germain and Gregory Davis, are constituents of District 93 and currently attend Florida institutions.  Specifically, Samantha, Florida A&M, Tallahassee campus, Shanteria, University of Florida, Gainsville campus, Daphny, Broward College, Davie campus and Greg, University of Florida, Gainsville campus.  Each exhibited superior academic achievements and outstanding community service.
