Representative Perry Thurston presented 4 scholarship recipients with their Florida Conference of Black State Legislators (FCBSL) Scholarship award checks in a small private ceremony at the African American Research Library, Saturday, November 28th.  The students, Kevon Cedeno, Nephtalie Pierre, Antionette Smart and, Isaiah Petty, are constituents of District 93.  They are natives of the Fort Lauderdale area, attended high schools in the district and are currently attending Florida institutions.  Specifically, Kevon, Stranahan High, Broward College, Broward campus, Nephtalie, Dillard High, Florida State, Tallahassee campus, Antionette, Fort Lauderdale High School, Florida AM University, Tallahassee Campus and Isaiah, Boyd Anderson High, Florida AM University, Tallahassee campus.  Each exhibited superior academic achievements and outstanding community service.
